Solstice
In the Southern Hemisphere, Summer Solstice
came and went.
A time of fruition and celebration, a time of fullness
and thankfulness,
celebrated with a picnic on the beach and watching the
sun of the longest day set over the sea.
In the Northern Hemisphere, Winter Solstice turned.
The shortest day,
a day for emptiness, reflection, renewal.
and the cycle continues
.
Show Up
Why does it hurt me so to look at those old videos and photos of my daughter growing up – she was so beautiful, so lively, so fresh. I realise, because I am not sure I was fully present in all of those moments – sometimes I was so darn tired, so worried, so unhappy … was I there? Was I fully present, in the moment with her?
Did I Show Up?
No – not every day, not in every moment. Sometimes I was preoccupied, sometimes I was worried, sometimes I was bored! That’s just how it was ...

In all manner of things:
! SHOW UP !
The dreaded New Year’s Resolution
Get fit, lose weight, save more, earn more, quit smoking, eat right, play right … be right.
Then come April, the vague memory of another set of resolutions that sank slowly into the long, hot, tired days at the end of summer.
How about this … don’t make New Year's resolutions at all.
What a startling thought!
Wait a little.
What if, you rest and take some time to get in touch with what could really be real for you … and sometime in the next months, I will send you my new eCourse.
I might even call it the Re-Soul-ution Review, if I think that’s just not too cute.
In it you will learn
Why – most New Year’s resolutions fail
Why – most people’s resolutions look so similar
How – to make a resolution that you can and will achieve.
How to make a resolution that is a promise that you won’t break!
And – I will take you through a process for making promises to yourself that you can keep – because they come from the why that is the real heart of your resolution.
So, as someone once said in an annoying advert ‘Do yourself a favour’ … but in this case, how about you do yourself a favour by not doing anything?
How about this year you try NOT setting any resolutions for the New Year?
Wait for the fervour to pass (and the last of the leftovers to be eaten up).
And watch this space for the Re-SOUL-ution Review
(maybe that title is just too cute!!)
BIG light
BIG blessings
